Welcome to the Website of the #ReadNigeria
Reading Nigeria Group has been conceived to be a vibrant community dedicated to the promotion of Nigerian Readers and Nigerian Writings. Our lofty aim is to educate, engage, empower and reward reading of books by Nigeria and about Nigeria.
In 2024, we intend to create 20,000 readers that will commit to reading 10 books a year and to promote the acquisition of 500,000 books by Nigerians and about Nigeria.

Board of Governors
Our Board of Governors is made up of eminent members of the society that have distinguished themselves in their professional and community lives. They are also a known for their passion for literacy, depth of knowledge, and commitment to promoting a culture of reading. They act as our advisory council and give us guidance on book selections, suggesting innovative event ideas, nominating people and groups to work with, where possible they attend events physically or virtually and contribute to the overall strategic direction of the Reading Nigeria Group and our projects.
The current Board include Prof Remi Sonaiya, Chief Joop Berkhout OON, Engr. Bello Suleiman, Prof. Anya O. Anya, OFR, NNOM, Princess Bisi Gbadebo, Ms Taiwo Ajai-Lycett, OON, Prof Anthony Kila.
Steering Committee
The #ReadNigeria Steering Committee is our executive council and it is made up of selected experts and influential personalities that are passionate about reading and writing. They have been kind enough to bring to us their knowledge, contact and experience in the promotion of reading, arts and culture generally. They provide contacts, direction and they monitor our activities for success.
